“Using characters I create narratives that are the reactions I have to loss, the desire for connection, and the search for hope. The figures being a reflection of myself, my mental state, and the internal battles I am sorting through. I enjoy making heavily detailed work that invites and draws the viewer in. My work is constantly shifting but remains heavily influenced by my love of the natural world. I grew up in a Roman Catholic household, but never truly felt spiritual, until visiting the ocean. It was more ornate than any church or cathedral I had been to and held more history than any book. I hope to evoke the same response I have to these natural formations from the viewer. “
