I threw my first pot on a treadle wheel in Searcy, Arkansas in 1978. I was hooked. I have always loved working with my hands. In 1988 I abandoned the corporate life to become a full time Studio Potter.

My work today is a result of all past experiences and influences. I have chosen to work mainly with Crystalline glazes to embrace the challenge and complexity in developing a glaze that works as I expect. And once it does, because of the nature of the glaze, no two pieces will ever be alike. I like the unpredictability of the results along with the precise path that must be followed to get there. My goal is to develop a unique body of work that will be both functional and decorative that collectors will enjoy using and displaying.
